Jennifer Lawrence has shot at the trolls and media, who criticised her over her revealing dreass, calling the debate “sexist” and “utterly ridiculous.” The 27-year-old actor took to Facebook to give it back to those who had commented that she should have worn a coat in the cold weather of London at the event for her latest Soviet spy thriller Red Sparrow. Lawrence wrote she did not think she needed to cover her dress with “a coat and a scarf” and even if she was standing in the snow, it was her “choice” to go for coveralls or not.

Deep in depression

Deepika Padukone said organisations should focus on the mental health of their staff. Speaking at an interactive session with Wipro Board member  Rishad Premji, the Bollywwod actor said her sportsmanship helped her quickly overcome the psychological problem she suffered.  “I think it is important to deal with (the people) who experience mental illness with lot more empathy and little more heart.

Became an actor by default

Rani Mukherji said she became an actor by default as it was a decision that was taken by her mother. “I did not decide (to become actor), my mum decided for me. When we were young it was a different generation, unlike what happens today. I was an obedient child. So I did whatever my mum said, she said become an actor, so I became an actor. She realised my thing (of actor) before me. I became an actor by default. I thank my mum today as I don’t think I would be anything else than an actor,” Mukherji said at a promotional event of her upcoming film Hichki.

The girl who took the internet by storm

Not so long ago, Sheril G Kadavan became an internet sensation thanks to the viral malayalam Jimmiki Kammal video. Now, it is the turn of actor Priya Prakash Varrier, who has become an overnight celebrity, thanks to the Malayam song Manikya Malaraya Poovi, from Oru Adaar Love.

The song is set in a school campus and shows people in the audience reacting to the singer and each other. Varrier is among the students who feature in the song and she can be seen gesturing to a friend to occupy the place next to her.

Uma Thurman says #metoo - Accuses Weinstein of sexual assault

Uma Thurman has accused movie producer Harvey Weinstein of sexually assaulting her at a London hotel after they worked together on the 1994 hit film Pulp Fiction.

In a a New York Times article on Saturday by columnist Maureen Dowd, Thurman broke her silence after saying in October that she would wait to speak out about inappropriate behavior in the workplace because she did not want to say anything in anger.

Yorkshire signs Pujara for second stint

R&B artist Bruno Mars won the top prize at the Grammy Awards on Sunday in another victory for pop-driven music over rap, now the most popular genre in the United States. Mars won six Grammys including song of the year for his hit single That’s What I Like, and both record and album of the year for 24K Magic.

His win denied rappers Kendrick Lamar and Jay-Z the honour of becoming the first hip-hop artist in 14 years to win the coveted album of the year award.
